Reflecting God’s heart for the nations (Acts 1:8) is so embedded at Old Richmond EMC, it is considered part of our DNA! Whether it is through our church’s food pantry, helping hurricane recovery, assisting our local Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, or supporting pastors in Zimbabwe; our purpose is to reach both the local community and the broader world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This includes not only addressing spiritual needs but addressing substantive physical needs as well. We seek to build relationships with Christians worldwide and support those who are on the front lines of Kingdom work. During the last year, we have:

Provided funding for three water wells in Zimbabwe
Purchased two motorcycles for pastors in Zimbabwe
Provided school supplies and Bibles
Collected selected items for local mission efforts
Provided funds and helped build a house in Guatemala
Filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child
Sent church members to support overseas needs through interpretation services and building.

Local Missions

Our mission is helping our most vulnerable neighbors recover from their struggles and find healing through the gospel and a new life in Jesus Christ. We offer recovery programs to men in need of life change; feeding and clothing individuals and families in need.

We are a residential stepping stone for women who desire freedom from substance abuse. Our mission is to be a home for women who are lost and weary from the chains of addiction.

International Missions

Our mission is to actively share the message of the Gospel through tangible, real-world actions that vividly demonstrate the goodness and grace of Jesus. By integrating faith with action, we aim to reveal the transformative love of Christ and inspire others to experience the profound impact of His message in their own lives.

ENGAGING THE ONE TO REACH THE MANY

One Mission Society multiplies disciples, churches, leaders, and missionaries in more than 85 countries, serving with more than 1,700 cross-cultural missionaries and national workers and 75,000 volunteers.

God With Us is an organization whose mission is advancing God’s Kingdom in Guatemala - Building relationships, touching families, changing lives.

Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this and future generations, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.

The EMC Board of World Missions provides communication/coordination between their six global conferences to highlight our connection and encourage prayer, giving, and participation between all (USA, Mexico, Myanmar, Asia Pacific, Christ for All Nations, and South Africa).

We Provide Healthcarefor the Impoverished in Honduras through volunteer medical teams and referrals to other charitable medical teams for specialized treatments.
