Our roots...

Humble but zealous beginnings mark the creation of OREMC! In 1945 a few families aspired to have their theology/faith coupled with compassion and service for their community. An initial group of 15 began the pursuit of this goal by meeting in homes and launching a welcoming foundation for continued growth.  

 

Their legacy of faith and resolve continued through the decades and led to building a church and fellowship center in Tobaccoville. With additional growth and opportunity, a second facility was completed in 2014 with an educational center and a full-size gymnasium. We are very grateful for those who went before us, modeling faithfulness and perseverance that the gospel of Jesus Christ might be proclaimed and made a living reality in the Tobaccoville area and beyond. Our community of believers are connected with a common faith and a deep desire to see our town (and the world) experience the power and beauty of knowing Jesus! We celebrated our 80th year in the fall of 2025.
